Morgan’s Food Pantry needs help filling empty shelves

Thanksgiving and Christmas are times when people donate to many causes to make sure people have what they need for the holidays including food and the general necessities. However, according to Cindy McKee, director of the Morgan Food Pantry, there has been a steady increase in families needing assistance from the Morgan County Food Pantry in the past several months. “This has resulted in empty shelves, refrigerators and freezers,” said McKee. Following is a list of the most needed items.

Toilet paper 

Paper towels

Shampoo

Toothpaste 

Rolled Oats (Oatmeal) 

Dry Cereals

Condiments

Spices (salt and pepper)

Baking Soda/Baking Powder

Jelly/Jam

Pasta (Spaghetti noodles, etc.)

Ramen Noodles

Granulated Sugar

Brown Sugar

Pancake Mix

Syrup

Donations can be dropped off at 49 West 150 North - Tuesdays Tuesdays 9 a.m.-noon and Wednesdays 4-6 p.m.
