Trojans bring home region golf title

MORGAN—The Morgan High Boys Golf team won the Region 13 Team Championship after two days of play at Schneiter’s Bluff and Glen Eagle Golf Courses. Individually, Morgan senior Lance Loughton won first place in the region with freshman Jace Benson earning third and sophomore Caleb Rees fourth. Morgan played at the state tournament, Oct. 16-17. Results will follow next week.

Morgan Boys Claim Region 13 XC Title Girls finish third

MORGAN—The Morgan boys won the Region 13 XC title over Grantsville and Ogden. Senior EJ Lee won the individual title and three other Morgan boys finished in the Top 10. Morgan’s girls placed third overall with two Top 10 finishers. Divisionals will be Oct. 15 and state will be at Sugarhouse Park, Oct. 30.

MHS Tennis claims 3rd at State, Dee wins 1st

MORGAN—Morgan’s Macey Dee claimed an individual state championship in 2nd Singles and the team earned third place in a hard fought 3A State Tournament. All of the girls advanced to the semifinals and battled to the end. Coach Katherine Hadley praised their fight and excellent performance this season.

MORGAN—On a rainy, windy Friday night, the Trojans notch their first-ever shutout against the Salt Lake City Catholic school. It was Morgan’s region opener in which the Trojans had 540 yards of total offense and allowed just 113.

Trojans hang on for a 26-20 win in Idaho

POCATELLO—The victory over Idaho Falls Skyline in Idaho State University’s Holt Arena ran Morgan’s unbeaten streak to three games. Beck Sheffield had 326 yards passing and two TDs, Lincoln Gilson had 202 all-purpose yards, and a stingy Trojans defense forced three interceptions.
