Kathi Hammond grew up in Salt Lake City. After graduating from Skyline High School she attended the University of Utah where she earned a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.

Hammond has taught Kindergarten for two years in Arizona and fourth grade for two years in Coalville, Utah. She is currently in her first year teaching fifth grade at Mountain Green Middle School. “I love teaching kids and getting to know them,” said Hammond. “I love helping kids understand new concepts.”

Meeting her husband when they played the French Horn together in seventh grade, they have now been married for 22 years. Together they have five boys. They currently live in Henefer, “so my family can see what it’s like to live in the country,” Hammond said.

In her spare time, Hammond enjoys time with her family, the outdoors and crafting. λ
