Cyndi McMillan was raised in Morgan and graduated from Morgan High School. She attended Utah State University graduating with an Associate of Science December 2017.

After being a stay-at-home mom for 20 years, McMillan found herself working as an aide in Morgan School District Elementary Schools in the Special Needs Preschools.  “I have always loved learning and teaching kids, so I decided to get my teaching degree and become a teacher,” she commented.  She is currently teaching Kindergarten part-time in the Mountain Green Elementary School where she team teaches with Jane Golson. “I have the cutest kindergarten class,” McMillan claims. “If one of my students sees me around town, they are always so excited to say “Hi!”  It makes me feel like a celebrity!  I hope the students in my class feel that much love from me every day at school.”

McMillan will graduate from Western Governors University with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in February.

After meeting her husband Scott in high school, there has been an ongoing debate about whether she waited for him to come home from his mission or not; however, they did get married when he returned home. Together they have six “amazing’ kids. “Like everyone else, we’ve had setbacks and heartaches in life, but we still feel like we are living the dream,” she said.

In her spare time, McMillan loves to play the piano, read books, watch Hallmark movies, mow her lawn and take walks to visit with her neighbors. “I like to spend time with my kids and three grandchildren,” said McMillan. She also likes to volunteer in the community and at church.  Her dream vacation is sitting on a warm beach reading a great book. λ
