Meet MMS student council members

Morgan Middle School’s student council is made up of students from seventh and eighth grade. The student council helps to promote school spirit and show leadership in the school. They set an example for the students on what is and is not acceptable. Council members help plan a carry out spirit Week and help with various activities such as STEAM Night and assemblies. They also help the PTSO with their monthly activities. Jentry Carter serves as the advisor for the MMS student council.

Eighth-grade council members are:

Alexis Clark’s favorite subject in school is Peer Leadership. She wanted to be on the student council because her friends are on it too. Three things that make Alexis who she is are being a softball catcher, playing with her dog named Twix, and playing basketball. In her spare time, she loves to play sports and travel. 

Devri Clark’s favorite subject is Peer Leadership because they have fun every day and there is always a new activity that is done each day. She wanted to be on the student council because she gets to be a leader for the school and plan all the fun activities. Three things that make up Devri are athletics, art, and creativity. In her spare time, she likes to do art and bake treats.

Sophie DeMond’s favorite subject in school is Peer Leadership because they do lots of fun and encouraging activities each day. She wanted to be on the student council because she thought it was an excellent opportunity to be a leader. Sophie also thought the process to get here was a great way to help her grow, try new things, and to encourage her to step out of her comfort zone. Three things that make Sophia who she is are athletics, creativity, and kindness to others. In her spare time, Sophie plays golf and volleyball, bakes, and hangs out with her friends.

Brienna Parker’s favorite subject is  English and Peer Leadership. She wanted to be on the Student Council to help her school to become a better place. Brienna likes to read, draw, and write small stories. In her spare time, Brienna likes to read. 

MaKena Wardell’s favorite subject in school is Peer Leadership because they get to do fun things each day. MaKena wanted to be on student council because it helped her to grow and she got to be a leader for MMS. Three things that make Makenna who she is, are playing basketball and volleyball and she is a hard worker. In her spare time, MaKenna likes to hang out with friends.

Sterling Wilde’s favorite class is Peer Leadership because of the fun things that they do in that class and it is way more fun than any other class. He wanted to be on the student council because he likes to be a leader and to help his school. Three things that make Sterling who he is are sports, his parents, and his brothers. Sterling likes to read, work, and play outside.

Seventh-grade council members are:

Evelett Anderson’s favorite subject in school is Science because it is exciting and fun. She wanted to be on the student council because she thought it would be a fun learning experience. Three things that make Evelett who she is are her friends, music, and family. Evelett enjoys singing, dancing, and hanging out with her friends in her spare time.

Josie Henderson’s favorite subject is Utah History. She said it is fun to learn about where she lives. She wanted to be on student council because it seemed really cool. Three things that make Josie who she is are kindness, sporty, and smart. In her spare time, Josie rides horses.

Hailey King’s favorite subject is Peer Leadership because she said It is super fun but she also wanted to be a leader of the school. She wanted to be on student council because it looked super fun, and she wanted to help with all the events. She loves softball, is a straight-A student, and loves hunting. Hailey likes to get ahead in school. 

Braxton Limb’s favorite thing about school is lunch. He wanted to be on student council because he could do different things. Three of Braxton’s hobbies are football, riding his dirt bike, and hanging out with friends. He hangs out with his friends in his spare time.

Megan Nielsen’s favorite subject in school is peer leadership because they learn how to be a leader and help the school. She wanted to be on the student council to be more involved in the school and be able to make sure everyone enjoys it. Megan is the catcher in softball, loves doing art and sketches, and enjoys socializing. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with friends. 

Madison Streadbeck’s favorite subject in school is Utah History because she likes to learn about historical facts. She wanted to be on the student council because she wanted to be more involved with the school. Three things that make Madison who she is, are being outgoing, bold, and her leadership skills. In her spare time, Madison likes to do tumbling tricks, ride her bike, study historical things, and hang out with friends and family.

Valliere Wilde’s favorite subject in school is peer leadership because of all the things they do in class and she also gets to do the school announcements. She wanted to be on student council because she could learn how to be a good leader. Three things that make Valliere who she is are volleyball, rollerblading, and running. In her spare time, she likes to play games. λ
